This ultra-concentrated anti-breakout serum for adult acne is the latest addition to La Roche-Posay’s Effaclar collection, which focuses on reducing breakouts, blemishes and spots. The lightweight gel serum tightens pores while regulating the production of oil for a more balanced complexion, as well as helping to minimise the appearance of spot and acne marks.
The Effaclar serum uses a trio of acids to resurface and refine the complexion. Pores are deeply unclogged thanks to salicylic acid, which helps prevent blackheads and blemishes forming. LHA offers a gentle exfoliation to slough away dead cells, while glycolic acid clarifies the skin and encourages cell renewal, leaving you with radiant and clearer skin.
What’s more, the hardworking formula also contains skin-loving niacinamide. As well as helping to reduce irritation with its anti-inflammatory abilities, it also reduces the appearance of pores, brightens up dark spots and reinforces the skin’s barrier to combat moisture loss and dehydration.
The finishing touch to this supercharged serum is the inclusion of La Roche Posay’s thermal spring water. This has a unique mineral composition and is packed with antioxidants to calm skin and reduce irritation.
